Invoicing and Basic Bookkeeping entries

  • The completion of financial documents such as invoices, POs and credit memos
  • Double Entry Accounting Explained
  • Numerous double-entry accounting exercises
  • Accounting systems and ERPs
  • The recording of cash and credit transactions
  • An overview sub-ledger accounting
  • Posting of general ledgers and relevance of T accounts
  • The preparation and balancing of a bank reconciliation

Introduction to Accounting

  • Year-end adjustments include accruals, depreciation, pre-payments etc.
  • Journals.

Trial Balances and Financial Statements

  • Preparing a trial balance from raw data
  • Extended trial balances and year-end adjustments
  • The creation of straightforward Profit & Loss and Balance sheet reports from trial balance

The course teaches the fundamentals of bookkeeping by explaining its underlying principles. This enables people working in accounts to understand their job rather than merely ‘follow procedures’. This will help them progress ahead of the competition.

Dates and Duration

Two-day course with live virtual classroom training. The course is run in the US and Europe.

The US Course runs from 11:30 to 17:30, Eastern Time.

The European course runs from 10:30 to 16:30, UK Time.
